Out This Week : 1ST-7TH

Out This Week: 1st  – 7th June 2015 1st – Dungeon Crawlers HD Description: Dungeon Crawlers is a game designed to explore the fun and funny concept of what “Ghostbusters” might’ve looked like if it were set in a dungeon. It’s a turn-based strategy game that is easily accessible. Don’t expect to dive too deep into statistics and weapons types here. The interface is highly streamlined. This game is all about launching and playing, but still being demanding and challenging to even the most seasoned of turn-based vets. Thoughts: As a big fan of turn based statagy games, this…

Out This Week : 25th-31st

Out This Week: 25th  – 31st May 2015   25th – ’60 Seconds!’  Description: 60 Seconds! is a dark comedy atomic adventure of scavenge and survival. Collect supplies and rescue your family before the nuke hits. Stay alive in your fallout shelter. Make difficult decisions, ration food and hunt mutant cockroaches. And maybe survive. Or not.   Thoughts: From the trailer I can see that this looks like it is going to be a funny game. The description says that is very dark comedy orientated, which is right up my alley. I can’t yet tell how fun the gameplay will…

They’re back. You’re back. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 Preview   The original experimental NZA was released earlier this year in February, exclusively on Steam as a standalone content. Utilizing Sniper Elite V2’s engine famous pin-point X-Ray killcam, the human-sniping simulator gets a whole horror makeover splashed with blood, gore and occult stuff. Hot Tin Roof Competition!

Some weeks ago I did an interview and GreenlightSpotlight on Glass Bottom Games’ Hot Tin Roof. They’ve achieved their Kickstarter goal(YAY!) but the Kickstarter is also a great chance to get the game for quite a small price and get involved in the game, so if you haven’t pledged yet, do it asap, you wont regret it, and its guaranteed rewards! They are also well on their way to that greenlight(so if you haven’t voted it up already, do eeet!) But this article isn’t about either, its about cats, its about paper fedoras, its about them both. You stand…

Bigger, Better, Bolder; PAYDAY 2 Hands-On (Beta keys giveaway!)

The original PAYDAY is a cult following among the fans, with OVERKILL’s dedication and time on the forums in tweaking the game for the better, we have a gem (no pun) of a developer. I know, because I am part of the fans out there that couldn’t stop playing it; the satisfaction of pulling off heists on higher difficulties, along with level and weapon upgrades. The Ordinary Gamer team had the privilege of getting an early access for the PAYDAY 2 beta. It stood out in so many ways, that it looks set to be THE textbook example of making…

Steam Summer Sale Review

I am new to the PC gaming scene, I never had a computer that could handle the latest games till very recently. As soon as I got my new computer I started collecting games on Steam. I’ve had an account on there for quite some time now but never really used it. So this was my first Steam Summer Sale. I was, without a doubt, excited and about to go out of my mind as I counted down the minutes, nay seconds to the beginning of the sale. I clicked refresh about 50 times in those 10 minutes when…

We fight for survival in Dead Pixels – A Review

When a toxic spill causes dead people to rise and eat human’s and turn them into zombies, you have two choices, one is to stay and get eaten, the other is run like hell, I personally opted for the radical choice of running like hell. I have been wanting to play Dead Pixels for ages so when I saw that it was part of the new Killer Zombie Bundle by our good friends at, I jumped at the chance to review it. And boy was I in for a treat. Dead Pixels combines awesome music, retro artstyle and very…

We talk about Sword ‘N’ Board with Robert Busey

Note: This interview was done by Dan, I am merely posting it as he is on vacation, I am still excited to see how Sword ‘N’ Board comes together!   Can you please tell me a little about ‘Sword ‘N’ Board’ – What is the story and gameplay? In Sword ‘N’ Board you play as Sidd, a kid looking for the pieces of his missing video game console. He comes home from school, the power is out in his house and he finds a note in his bedroom telling him that his game console has been taken, and he…

Out This Week: New Releases (July 7th – 13th)

Another week has gone by, a rather quiet week as far as games and releases are concerned and this week apparently takes its cue from that one. There are some games coming out, but none that really caught my eye. If you are a college football fan you can be a happy puppy with NCAA Football 14, the first of the ’14 titles are out. Out of desperation more than admiration I’m picking it to be the Pick of The Week. I love NFL, but never played anything passed Madden NFL ’08, the last one that came out for…

We take a look at Moebius: Jane Jensen’s Newest Entry

If you are familiar with the adventure genre, you have definitely played one of Jane Jensen’s games, her games tell capturing stories and have enthralled the minds of gamers worldwide ever since Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers came out nearly two decades ago in December 1993. To put things in perspective, I was 3 years old.   Moebius, Jane Jensen’s newest game, is one that’s still in development. The mail I received, repeatedly requested me to not judge the game based on this, because it’s an early build, that it has bugs, visuals are still not finished, so…

Out This Week: New Releases (June 23rd – 29th)

I turn 23 this week but I am more excited about the games coming out this week than I am about my own birthday, there’s some perspective for you. But I can’t be blamed, it is a great week to be a gamer! You have DARK a vampire action RPG, Deadpool a bloody bloody game filled with ….that’s right BLOOD! and to top it of you have Spartacus Legends coming out, to give you a taste of a gladiators life. I will be getting all three as soon as possible there’s also Company of Heroes 2, the beta was…

Out This Week: New Releases(June 16th – 22nd)

Another week is upon us! I can’t honestly say it’s an exciting week of games but it beats having none at all. It’s hard to pick out my pick of the week, however for old time’s sake I am going to be picking Jak and Daxter Collection, coming out on the PS Vita as my pick of the week. I think it will be a great fit for the system and I like the fact that Jak and Daxter is the first ever Vita title to be pick of the week!  Releases from 16th – 22nd June   Jak and Daxter…

Anything You can do, I can do better – Sony’s strategy against Microsoft

Any and every gaming site  will be bombarded with the pictures of Sony’s PS4 hardware telling you how it looks cool, even how it has a bit of a retro feel to it, with the samurai like posture with the back curving upwards to the end and the blue strip seemingly cutting the console through the middle. I love it, and although I am no fan, I didn’t really mind the XBOX One either. Sony said a lot of things in the press conference and you have to understand it was at 5 A.M. for me and I had…

Out This Week: New Releases (9th – 15th June)

We’re into the most important week of June as far as I am concerned with The Last of Us coming out on the 14th! Needless to say that The Last of Us is the pick of the week. But it is a bittersweet week as only three games are coming out. Now, I am not complaining, gives me some time to get some much needed backlog work done. Releases from 9th – 15th June Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) 9th June, 2013 I’ve never played an Animal Crossing game, in fact I thought it was a new version of Frogger, except with new…
